Application Process
The application process for the Freeman Asia Scholarship Program is straightforward and simple. The first step is to submit an application form. This form must be completed in its entirety and all supporting documents must be included. After the form has been submitted, the applicant will be required to submit two letters of recommendation from a faculty member, employer, or other individual who can attest to the applicant’s strengths. Lastly, the applicant must submit a personal statement discussing their commitment to studying in Asia. Once all of the documents have been submitted, the applicant will be contacted with the outcome of their application.

The award amount for the Freeman Asia Scholarship Program is up to $7,500 per academic year. This award is renewable for up to four years, provided that the recipient remains in good academic standing and continues to meet all of the program’s eligibility requirements.
Deadlines
The deadline for submission of applications is typically the first Friday of April each year. Applications must be received by this deadline in order to be considered for the Freeman Asia Scholarship Program.

Selection Process
Applications for the Freeman Asia Scholarship Program will be reviewed by a committee of faculty and staff members from the Freeman Foundation. The committee will review all applications and select the recipients based on their academic achievements, commitment to studying in Asia, and financial need. Once the selection is complete, the recipients will be notified of their award.
